Carbon Steel forged flanges connectors are basically made of carbon steel. They are the primary material of carbon steel flange and end flange connectors. Common standards include ASTM A105, ASTM A350 LF2, ASTM A694, DIN 2533 and MSS SP-44. Pressure ratings from class 150 to 2500.
Carbon steel forged flanges are one of the widely use flanges in multiple industries due to their durability, strength and resistance to corrosion. They are preferred when heavy-duty flanges are require for high-pressure applications.
Standard for Carbon Steel Forged Flanges
Carbon steel forged flanges have different hardness and strength during the use and production,which can play a different role and show different characteristics. The carbon steel forged flanges materials contain ASTM A105 , ASTM A350 LF2, ASTM A694 ,P235GH,P250GH etc.
ASTM A105 Material CS forged flanges
ASTM A105 is one of the mild carbon steel most common of all. The material is extra tough, meaning it won’t break easily and is reasonably priced.

ASTM A694 Material
ASTM A694 standards provisions for the high-pressure fluid transmission of gas and oil piping systems. Due to these tougher provisions on the physical aspects, manufacturers developed even stronger steel for both low and high temperatures.

Types of CS Forged Flanges
ASME B16.5 flanges have a wide range of applications and diverse types, such as weld neck flange, slip on flange, socket weld and blind flange etc,.We have a large stock of ASME B16.5 flanges and can provide timely products to customers worldwide.
Weld Neck Flange is easy to recognize at the long tapered hub and designed to joined to a piping system. Provides a natural form connection ideal for larger, high-pressure applications.
Socket Weld types have a socket to insert pipe when space limitations make Weld Neck flanges difficult to use.
Slip On Flange is designed to accept the pipe into the center/bore, and good for lower pressure applications.
Threaded Flanges contain a female NPT threaded center for connection to male threaded piping.
Blind Flange has no bore or inner diameter, have same similar function as plug or cap, all of them are used to block off a section of piping system. It is different as the others flanges, there is no hub and bore in the center.
Lap Joint Flange are including two-parts that stub end is used to weld to the pipe and LAPJ flange is slid onto the pipe before welding the Stub End. They feature an extended hub and a machined radius at the base of the flat face.
Dimension of Forged Flanges
ASME B16.5 is the production standard for American standard flanges. Defined flange dimensions ranges are availbale in 1/2”to 24”nominal sizes. The pressure of Class 150#, 300#, 600#, 900#, 1500#, and 2500# . There are many seal facing as Raised Face (RF), Flat Face (FF), Ring Type Joint (RTJ) .
